About the Owner

Hello and welcome.
I am the owner of Peripiccoli, a small select shop based in Waterloo, Belgium.

I am originally from Kobe, Japan, and I love conversation and meeting people.
I now live in a multilingual environment where Japanese, English, French and Italian are spoken, and I have been living in Europe for over 25 years.

After graduating from university in Japan, I completed a master’s degree in English language teaching in the United States. I then worked for an international IT company and have lived in Switzerland, the UK and Belgium.
Through these experiences, I came to value the importance of spaces where people can feel relaxed, and of everyday objects that quietly bring comfort and joy.

At Peripiccoli, I carefully select items that fit naturally into daily life.
I also host tea gatherings and open salon events, where visitors are always welcome to stop by, chat and relax.
